Wascally Wabbits and High Tea

Hello,

I'm keen to see when BLOGGER puts this post to air!!!! For some reason (I can't think why) my post's have been showing up a day later than they should..............Or is it that they just don't show up in my Reader until 24 hours later than the posting time!!!  Hmm have you ever had this problem??

So anyway,  on to todays share.......
Ages ago, perhaps years even, I bought an English Card Making Magazine. It included a pad of printed images from LOTV, most of which are still waiting to be coloured!  Whilst 'the boss' was watching the English Cup final on Sunday I sat with my Prisma's and set to work colouring this little image.  As always as soon as it was done I had to make a card to show it off!

Such a little sweetie and so much fun to colour!
A little drop of Glossy Accents on the cup cakes to add shine to the icing and some soft blue chalking around the coloured image.

Stitched ribbon wrapped around a scalloped matt with the sentiment stamped in black.  The DSP also has a nice glittery shine to the stripes.

The knitted rabbit at the top of the page is from a Pattern I found on line at Ravelry. There are a number of dressed rabbits to choose from, as well as elephants!
This is such a great site for knitters, if you haven't paid a visit yet.......go take a look!  This little pattern was designed by an English girl Julie Williams, with a Blog  HERE , also worth a visit :)

Whilst I'm talking about knitting sites  HERE'S  another with great free patterns to download.....I'm thinking about a fine shawl in knitted lace, worked on circular needles with 330 odd stitches!!!!!  Well I did say thinking.........didn't I!

Until next time..........

Purple Onion - Oscar and the perfect spot!

I couldn't resist these lovely stamps from Purple Onion, designed by Stacey Yacula. They're from the new "A Beautiful Day".
This card uses the background image The Perfect Spot with OSCAR and a Birthday sentiment
I coloured with Inktense pencils on Watercolour Card. Then burnished the back of the tree trunk, the trio of trees and Oscar to add dimension.......probably hard to see in this photo  :)

We've been enjoying  lovely Autumn weather, so the boss and I have taken advantage of it spending days out with the camera's. Thought I'd share some photos we took when Julie paid a visit last week end. These were all taken on the same day ....it rained a little but the sun shone through the clouds by the end of the day which made for some fun shots.

Hope you're enjoying your week end :)

It's a Man Thing

Hello,

Today's card is made using products from Scrapbook Boutique.  My stash of 'Male' cards  is looking a little sad so when a new Memory Box die arrived in the mail I thought it was just the thing.

Love the sharp lines and lovely clean script used with this die. I stuck with that adding a little red for interest. Yes there is a bow but I've tied it behind the button so it's not too girly :-)

The girls have this card along with all the details over at the Scrapbook Boutique Blog today.  I hope it will inspire you to add the occasional 'Male' card to your stash!

Thanks for your visit...............

For my card I had fun with one of my NEW tools from Scrapbook Boutique.....The distress marker spritzer from Tim Holtz.  This great tool can be used with your Copics too, or for that matter any other marker you might own. Just adjust the screw to hold your marker in the right position.

  • I spritzed spiced marmalade, scattered straw and vintage photo over a white card base adding a spray of Mr Huey's calico shine for a little sparkle. Rounding the bottom corners before
  • Layering some embossed chestnut card over yellow card.
  • Die cut Fresh Foliage from orange card, trimming the foliage before adhering to embossed card.
  • Stamp the sentiment to white card trim to size before adhering to card front popping one leaf over the white panel. Add a yellow heart.
  • Adhere the completed panel to the base card using adhesive foam squares.

Thanks for dropping by now on with the hop...................
